Heat Unit
|
The heat unit helps maintain food temperatures in the range of 140°F to 160°F through the gradual release of stored heat. It will not elevate temperatures above 160°F and therefore helps minimize the loss of nutrients, color, texture and taste. A plastic bottle, 6” x 7” and 1” thick, it contains a material which liquefies when the bottle is placed in boiling water for 15-20 minutes—absorbing heat—it then releases that heat for up to four hours as it solidifies again. It will not burn the food.
