How to use the Bulletin Boards
|
Our bulletin boards are referred to as “threaded” bulletin boards. This means that the messages are organized by topic.
Log-in by picking a name you want to be known by and click "sign in". On the main page of the bulletin board you will see a listing of the current topics being discussed. You can view the messages related to that topic simply by clicking on the appropriate link. This will bring up all of the messages in the "thread". The message at the top is the original post, and the rest are replies to that message.
To start a new thread, click on the "Post" link. You will be prompted to fill out a small e-form. Give a short title to the subject of your post, then add your message. Post it by clicking "post message". Now if you go back to the bulletin board, you will see your newly posted thread at the top of the list. Return in a few days to see if there has been a response to your post!
To respond to a message, bring it up on the screen, and click on the "Reply" link. The original subject will remain in the subject line of the e-form. Insert your response in the form, and click "post message". If you then go back to the thread you replied to, your message will be there, waiting for someone else to respond!
